FIBROSIS WEBBING ON THE VOCAL CHORDS

I was recently hopitalised and intubated. This caused an injury to my vocal cords which led to a Web formation. I underwent a Micro Laser Surgery to remove the web on my vocal cords. Now in a short span of 1 week, the web seems to have re-formed. though it seems flimsy right now, i might need to once get it operated. Please advice me if there is any alternative treatment for this condition so that i can avoid repeated surgeries.

Hi Kaushik,

You need to find a phonosurgeon who is specialized in these type of surgeries. Not all ENT surgeons can do this surgery. If you are in India, you can consult Dr. Jayakumar at KIMS hospital, Trivandrum or Dr. Handa from Delhi. Any more doubts you are welcome.
