Anyone have the same symptoms as me? Mystery illness for 6months

Hi I have been sick for  6months after being admitted with severe left sided abdominal pain and vomiting 6 months ago. Since then I have been extremely sick, here is a summary of my symptoms in order of occurrence, up to fatigue are my everyday symptoms, the rest come and go:

*  severe consistent nausea - especially with bowel movements
* severe heart palpitations & flutter
* stabbing pain on left side and sore rib cage ( I can't sleep on it)
* chest pain
* neck pain
*sore throat
*dizziness
* constant urge to poo but will only do small amounts sometimes 5 times a day (narrow stools) other days I will do 5 normal amounts but with semi soft stools
* fatigue
* mood swings
* bouts of insomnia that come and go
* entire body aches
* always feeling hot
* fevers between 37.5 and 38 that come and go for 2 or 4 days and then go away.
* chills
* sore lymph glands
* sore breasts
* sensation of chest on fire with nausea
* headaches
* 12 kilo weight loss
* breathlessness with exertion
* stomach cramps
* slight drooping of right lip and numbness (sometimes)

I have done every test you can name, what could it be? Currently my worst symptoms are nausea and my throat is so sore I can't swallow solid food,

  Thanks so much lena

Just an update for everyone, I'm doing a 3d ultrasound tomorrow after visiting a gynaecologist he suspects bowel endometriosis. He wants to do a laparoscopy, but I'm not keen on being opened up if he isn't 100% sure. Will a 3d ultrasound show bowel endometriosis? Of the any people they diagnose after laparoscopy, I'd like to know how many end up NOT having the disease? Does anyone have any knowledge about this please? Thank you!

Just an update for everyone. So apparently I have all the celiac genes (but not celiac) and I just discovered a tiny pea size lump on my sternoclavicular joint near my neck, my doc wasn't concerned but I'm booked in for an ultrasound anyway. Hopefully this might show why I've had a sore throat for more than 6momths although my doctor doesn't think so. I'm Getting a 2nd opinion this weekend.

Hi everyone, just an update. My blood test showed Anti nuclear antibodies 'detected' and it says screened at a Titre of 80 'speckled'. In my previous blood test 2 months previously there weren't any detected. I'm not sure what this means. My doc didn't mention it to me at all

My tsh is now 0.42 which is just within normal limits and yet, I've lost 3 kilos this week. I've had my heart ultrasound back with 'trivial mitral valve reguirgitation' and an ultrasound of my salivary glands showed some small lymph nodes and intraparotid nodes.

Any thoughts would be great, thank you!

Hi jala! My throat is very red and inflamed. I might try taking an antihistamine for 3 days and see if it's alleviated. Thank you for the suggestion. The pain in my neck as well as my throat is quite severe.

The annoying thing is, the endocrinologist I saw says to me there's nothing wrong with my thyroid and that my results although borderline hyperthyroid are considered normal and shouldn't be considered to cause any symptoms. I walked out so upset. I will have to take another opinion.

I have been tested for celiac disease but perhaps I'm intolerant. Did you find out what's wrong with you...???

You're the third person that's mentioned Pots to me and I'd never heard of it before, thanks so much for your input, I will ask my doc whom I'm seeing to tommorow! I'll let u know howi go.

I've been having similar symptoms and feel your pain. It may be that you have a few things going on.

Anyway- sore throat and lymph nodes could be the drainage from allergies or sensitivity to something in your environment.

The thyroid levels could be off causing fatigue, etc.... (that list of symptoms can go on for ever!)

For the drooping- I would see a neurologist that could be never damage....

And it may be worth looking into Postural Othrostatic Tackycardia syndrome aka (POTs)

Celiac disease an/or intolerance maybe be a problem too just make sure you know the difference.

Let me know if you get any results... A few of my symptoms are still undetermined and it's frustrating!!!!

Hi paderla, I've had an endoscopy, so that rules out the gastroenteritis and peptic ulcer disease.

I don't have yellowish discolouration. Everyone ate the same meal as me the night I got sick and no one else threw up so that is how I ruled out food poisoning.

My doc has run many ultrasounds and CT scans that have ruled out pancreatitis and since my pain is on the left she isn't concerned it's the pancreas.

The kidney has a 1cm cyst on my left, so far this is the only indication of where the pain might be coming from, but could something that small be causing me so much nausea? Thank you very much, lena

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Your persisting symptoms of nausea and abdominal pain could indicate a viral gastroenteritis. The other causes could be jaundice if there is yellowish discoloration of skin, food poisoning if the symptoms occurred shortly after taking food, peptic ulcer disease and sometimes cholecystitis and pancreatitis. Kidney disorders too produce colicky and sharp pain. Sometimes anxiety with flatulence can cause this pain. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
