Sinus infection?

I've been dealing with what I thought was a sinus infection for the past week. Today was the first day I had relief from unrelenting facial pain without the need of painkillers. I was blowing out of lot of bloody mucus throughout the week, and today I blew out something from my nose that had the same feel of latex skin (link to a picture of it is provided below). After I blew this out I feel a bit ease of sinus pressure and my mucus started flowing out constantly afterwards -- the mucus also went back to being its normal color. I was wondering what it was that I blew out of my nose and whether I should be concerned or not. I haven't been able to see a doctor since I'm out of state.

Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums.  We thank you for your question and hope you are feeling much better by now.  Did you see your doctor and receive antibiotics?  Sinusitis is actually not all that common in the true sense and requires antibiotics to help eradicate the bacteria that causes it. The immflamation of the sinus cavity caused by sinusitis can be quite uncomfortable and for many, outright painful.  https://www.webmd.com/allergies/sinusitis-and-sinus-infection#1.  Please update us on how you are doing.
