Tjanks for your reply. I just looked at the symptoms of mineres disease and I literally have almost all of them. My symptoms arent consistant with bppv though.. also especially.since I.just had a baby and it could be hormone related im thinking.its migraine associated vertigo. Ughh this is really a lot to deal with. I had the eply manuver done today and dont feel better at all :(
I have Meniere's and your symptoms are so much like it.
There ARE a few differences between M's and BPPV...but not too many.
I find that if I take Serc when an attack comes on, it helps.
The ENG tests ( which consist of placing electrodes on the sides of your head and then placing hot/cold water/air in your ears...and then watching your eye movement) will tell them if it's BPPV, Meniere's, or something worse. The way in which the eyes move helps them to eliminate certain problems.
The rest is basically done by asking you questions about symptoms.
There are many available treatments. Prescription drugs, homeopathic, and certain exercises...where they hold your head and drop you onto a table to make the " crystals " in your ears move into a different location.
You can do this yourself at home. Simply sit on your bed, turn your head to the right, and let yourself fall to the left. Then do this again with your head to the left and falling to the right.
