Regarding the device to blow air up your noise (Read Lalawawa July, 22/2007) I have found the device and it is called the earpopper. Here is the link: http://www.earpopper.com/
I live in Canada and it can be purchased at London Drugs for $200.
I know it sounds like a lot but after all I have been through since Christmas '09 what is one more thing to try out and the fact it is not Medical is great cause a person can only take so much before the med's start screwing with us too!
I will update you all on what happens once I buy the unit.....

just remembered, i'm not sure if it worked, but i'll mention it anyway. i was also taking cordyceps - like 4-6 pills at night and 2 pills in morning for around 1.5mths, but i stopped taking it when my ears were still blocked. so i don't think it worked by itself. but it might have helped ...
definitely, try to cut out dairy for a good 3 mths, wear a well made nightguard, eat some multivitamins or immunity booster natural vitamins, eat a reasonably healthy diet (aka avoid deep fried chips) and pray... :) BEst of luck again everyone! and if it worked pls tell others so that everyone can get rid of this seriously unpleasant condition.

btw, i wasn't sick or anything when i got the blocked ears. i just woke up one day this year and one ear was blocked, and within the week, both ears became blocked.

i travel a lot ... and i noticed i always fall asleep before the plane takes off and before it lands. i wonder if this has also contributed to damaging my ears ?? maybe it's a whole bunch of causes, which led to some irritation in my ears, and causing the xs mucus production which caused them to block? i dont know. anyway, i've since changed my flying habits - i wear earplanes before it takes off, and make sure i stay awake for take off n landing so my ears equalise in pressure.

hope this helps someone out there.
take care everyone and best of luck, hope your ears all get better! i know how u all feel cos i had it myself and it sucked so bad i felt like not waking up at all on some days.. and some days it was so bad i was dizzy all the time so i could only lie in bed. So, i know what u guys are going through.

btw, i didn't see an ENT cos the wait list in australia is around 4mths, and my ears got better by 3mths.. plus i prayed to God everyday :)!!

also, anyone with blocked ears who has to fly, i used a product called earplanes - i'm from australia so i just bought it at the chemist here. u can google them to see if your country has a similar product. anyway, a doctor friend told me to try them and it worked for me - when my ears were blocked, i used them in the car, bus, train, planes, anywhere where u can feel the pressure building up more than usual (some closed vehicle).
