Chronic cough

I keep sending questions but never get a response! Here I go again. My cough is so bad it interferes with my whole life. It happens all night and all day. I need to keep a bowl by my side during the day and night. It's like a tickle in my throat that never goes away. Sometime I even spew up blood from the force and uncontrollable cough. I've had tubes put down my nose and throat. I have a callous on my vocal cords, but I feel like there is something causing my cough, like an abstract in my throat. Please help me out!

From your comment, you have obviously been treated for this problem with no clear diagnosis or resolution of your ailment. More information and lab results are needed. The color of the flem is an indicator if  bacterial or not. The blood in flem is a red light.

With the limited information, probable causes:
- Chronic respiratory alergy: Lab work needed to confirm(increased eosinophilia confirms).
- Chronic respiratory infeccion(bacterial): Lab work can confirm(lab culture and ABG)
- Tuberculosis: Lab work can confirm(various flem samples required(hard to detect)).
- Wooping caugh
- Lung cancer(flem sample and pathologist interpretation).

Go with the first three causes. Have your physician run these tests and he´ll have the answer as to how to treat you.
