Has anyone ever had a septoplasty or rhinoplasty

I have broken my nose twice in my life. First was when I was 4 I was in a minor car accident and have no memory of it. Then when I was in high school I broke my nose playing basketball. I have breathing troubles since then. Six months ago the doctor told me that I would need a septoplasty and recently I was told I should have a septoplasty and rhinoplasty done as well as bilateral turbenctomes. I will have a cast and splints inside my nose for at least two weeks. Is there anyone who had any of these surgeries

I had the same surgery 3 week ago. (Aug 11, 2008).  I don't like the iea that sometimes they go back, because this wasn't fun.  But at least they now use dissolvable packing so I didn't have that injustice done to my nose.Is anyone else suffering from the septum still being a little numb?  It's a little strange and I don't see the doctor again for another week.

I just had septoplasty and sinus surgery last Wed. Too early to tell about the success, but the only way to cure a deviated septum is surgery. I never get the easy stuff!!!

Yes. I had the septoplasty in 2005. The deviated septum came back on the same side. I am scheduled for a revision in September 2008. There was no accident that caused it. It just noticed in my 20s. Still trying to get even air flow.
