8 weeks ago I caught a cold from my children, usual stuff....sore throat, runny nose. I lost my voice which is common for when i catch a cold. 8 weeks later i still have very little voice, it's all husky and very sore sometimes. I saw my doctor at 3 weeks who gave me antibiotics and then when they didn't work he sent me to a ENT specialist today. He examined my throat with the camera thingy and said that nothing was wrong with my vocal cords and that it was simply that I had forgotten how to speak correctly and that i should go and have speech therapy. He said this was quite a common problem. Has anyone every heard of this before. It is rather strange as I'm able to cough and laugh and it sounds normal.
