Meniere's meds have side effects on me

I've been preliminarilly diagnossed with Meniere's Disease. I'm 31 years old with no other health problems (other than history of alergies and asthma several years ago). The diuretics that the doctor perscribed are making me feel really bad. Short of breath, fatigue, blood red and buning eyes. Is this common? Other types of meds that should be tried instead? Any ideas? Thanks.

A friend of mine's daughter was diagnosed with Meniere's several years ago.  She was told to strictly limit salt intake in her diet.  She's done so and has not had problems with Meniere's since.  Hope this helps! :)
