my throat

hi everyone
been having lumpy feeling on my throat for some weeks now
it started with a sore throat but now no sore throat just a feeling like something is stuck in
my throat when ever I swellow
and when I cough or try to clear my throat I spit out a strain of hair.  this happens some times
anyone knows what that is?

Hi, the sensation could most probably be due to tonsillitis. Throat pain, difficulty swallowing, fever, scratchiness in the throat, post nasal drip, malaise and loss of appetite are symptoms of tonsillitis. It can be caused by bacteria like streptococcus or it could be a viral infection. Bacterial infections need antibiotics. There are tubes called 'Eustachian  tubes' which connect the middle ear to the throat, this balances the air pressure in the ears. This tube can get  blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears. Consult your primary care physician who will do blood tests and take a throat swab to determine the cause and prescribe appropriate medications. Regards.

oh and if I pree my throat a little I could feel a pain in my right ear
