Dizziness. I'm a dad who can't begin to understand all that goes on during or after childbirth, but I thought I'd share my recent experience with dizziness. Its been coming on gradually in short episodes of 5 to 10 seconds with increasing intensity each time.
Maybe separated by a couple of weeks. My family doctor described it as the "rocks" in the ear canal that can become dislodged and move into other canals where they don't usually reside, Getting them returned to their proper location is key, and can happen naturally or with exercise. I happen to have sinus issues that have likely caused them to dislodge, and doc says that if accompanied by alcohol intake (even a daily glass of wine), the alcohol can cause them to float out of position (a scientific comparison of the specific gravity of alcohol vs. the fluids in the inner ear). After a couple of bouts of extremely intense spinning that lasted for 15 to 30 seconds, I got a change in my sinus meds that reduced the ear pressure (ears are sinusus too) and the dizziness has been reduced to a minor occurance just every other week or so not even worth mentioning. Not a total cure, but might be worth investigating if you have sinus pressure and like a glass of wine (or spirits) now and then.
I have also had the same thing. I gave birth to my daughter in january and have been dizzy ever since, my doctor has put me on Cinnarizine tablets, which haven't helped as yet? and make me drowsy. Also feel very heavy in the neck? we have ruled out anaemia as my hg level was at 14 when last tested. I had a large blood loss after giving birth and my family say I am just recovering, but I am worried its something else. My blood pressure has always been on the low side but is in the normal range.
