I am suffering from acute Maxillary sinusitis. I took antibiotics as and when required. is there any other system of medicine that can cure it without operation.

Hi Monu. Have you tried any rinses or maybe a neti pot?

I have had successes with these in the past, as has my sister who has it pretty bad right now. I would definitely start there. There are lots of different rinsing agents, as well as lots of stuff to try with the neti.

I have been getting worse and had a CT Scan. Two options were presented: sinus surgery (which I have always been set to avoid) or Balloon Sinuplasty. From what I have read/gathered the Balloon is less invasive. But I am still weighing my options, etc.

Oh well. Sorry you are surrering. Feel better soon!

Get a Neilmed Sinus Rinse at the drugstore, about $13.  It works well in the lower sinuses, which includes maxillaries.  When you remove infected mucus, the sinusitis should go away.
