Sore swallowing after swallowing big piece of food while looking down

Hi so yesterday I was eating my dinner which was bread and a sausage and I was swallowing a big bite and happened to look down while I swallowed. Immediately I felt really sharp pulling tearing pain on the left side of my throat - around about where my thyroid is (but on the left side of it - i think this is where the hyoid bone sits). I kept eating anyway and the pain continued. Since then I've had pain swallowing both water and food exactly on the left side right next to my thyroid. The pain is much worse and more noticeable if i swallow with my head looking downwards, or while doing chin tucks. Its like theres a lump there now or something. It also aches all the time.

What could this be? Did i dislocate something? Im worried something has permamently broken and ill be sore swallowing forever. I've heard other people hearing pops and stuff but i dont. I have tried moving the hyoid bone manually very gently which didnt do much either.

Anyone had anything similar?
