pain on left side of face & mouth...noticed loose teeth

for about a week now the left side of my face & has been extremely painful...it started with me noticing that my cheekbone was sore...then my eyebrow...as well as the thin skin beneath the eye....i began noticing the top gums & the roof of my mouth were also getting swollen and sore (on the same side only) .. very similar to the feeling i have had before when i had an abscessed tooth that needed to be pulled, however in that case, i KNEW where the pain was originating from .....the pain got so bad last night i was literally shaking....a couple days ago, i started pressing different areas on my cheek and nose on that side & realized the MOST PAINFUL spot of all was the crease between my left nostril....omg- brought tears to my eyes.....i dont know if this is a tooth issue or sinus issue or something more..... but today, i began to touch/ push on each individual tooth on the top left & noticed that they were loose....and i could feel the pressing through my gum & cheekbone......this scared me to death...the one that seemed the loosest was the one next to the very front tooth....that aligns exactly with the crease of my nostril on that side as well....wtf is going on???? im very scared in a lot of pain & cant afford a really good dentist. i am wanting to cry....what does anyone think??

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Abscess anywhere in the body needs to be drained. Pressure can build up and along with the inflammation can cause severe pain. For a root canal abscess it needs to be drained completely before any other therapy or prosthesis is attempted, as this is likely to flare up otherwise, which will call for repeated root canal therapy and prosthesis. So, continue with your medications and follow up with your doctor. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

no one has commented to me yet BUT i have an update incase anyone in the future has this problem..... it WAS an abscessed tooth.. the worst they have ever seen they said. the pain began at the cheekbone & into the eye area for some reason then radiated down....dentist said the reason my teeth were loose was because the infection made them that way.... every hour or so u could notice a difference in me.....(for the worse!!) the WORSE i got was i developed a fever & my eyes had swollen shut....and the infection had begun to go to the right side as well..... i woke monday morning when the dentist opened & had a huge lump on my gum when i pulled back my lip to see it ,, pus began to ooze out....i felt relief for the first time in days...then went to the dentist & got it lanced & he began to drill a hole in my tooth but it was so painful that i am to go back in a week to finish drilling the hole after i have taken the antibiotics he gave me...he said it should not be so painful then.....that is my update!!!! hope this may help someone in the future!!!!
