Swollen tonsils and bumb on the back of the throat

Im a 25 year old, Male, 5'10, 190 weight. So, back in september i got a severe throat infection, got some antibiotics for that and it went away, but the swollen on my tonsils never went away and i have a bump on the back of my throat since that infection, not pain at all, but discomfort and the area is red. I went to my primary doctor 2 weeks ago and she gave medrol i think is call to reduce the swelling, but didnt work.
