My itchy ear is beginning to effect my hearing

I've got this itchy left ear and from time to time it hearing, it would sound like i'm under water. I would unclogged it some times with my finger, like in a plunger like motion. Now the itching has gotten worse and I think it's gotten some leakage or drainage trying to come out but it's clogged.

Sounds like an allergic reaction or an ear infection.

There is also a viral infection going around that does the same thing...it lasts about 2 weeks.

The whole family was taking decongestants for it...they helped a bit.
