Foul smell in one ear

Ok I have an eight year old who do have aides, and wears them but not so much now that it is summer. When she does wear them we keep them very keep and she does not wear them longer than 6 to 87 hrs a day. She has a very bad smell and everyone has noticed it that is how strong the odor is . It does not hurt, no fever  and she is acting normally..

Hi Shnita,

The child is probably having ear wax, which gives a foul odor when it becomes soft.  Otomycosis is another cause for the foul smelling discharge but if present, will be painful, so it is ruled out. Please do get the ear examined from the ENT specialist.

I would recommend consulting an ENT Specialist and visually checking the ear canal ASAP.
