Reuse of EDEX cartridges

I get 40 mcg cartridges of EDEX form my local VA clinic.  My recommended dosage is only 10 mcg.  I really think it is such a waste to just throw away the other 30 mcg.  Is it possible to refrigerate and store the unused portion and reuse it in a couple of days.  What are the dangers associated with doing this?

I guess no one is ever going to reply to this question.  What is the purpose of this site anyway?

One of the forums is: "Ask The Pharmacist." They always respond and it seems your question would be better suited for that forum, even though it concerns ED.

ALPROSTADIL-should be refrigerated--you must be doing that right??

So use the 10 mcg put the syringe back in the fridge and use the next 10 mcg--sure you can do this--using the same needle will make it a little more dull by the 4th injection but that is no big deal--always clean the injection site.

If you notice the remainder of the injection turns a color and you notice a percipitate--little floating flakes in the solution then you should not use it but that is very unlikely.  The contents of the  injector should be good for atleast 30 days if you keep it refrigerated--so use it and enjoy.

Where can I purchase this without a Prescription? I lost my insurance and Dr wants $200 just to write the Prescription. Thanks
