According to most pharmacists Caltrate Plus is not the ideal form of getting calcium. It is not digested easily by the body. Calcium Citrate with added magnesium and Vit D is much better. Hi the recommended dosage of caltrate plus is two tablets taken daily. One tablet twice a day with food, or you can alter the dose to suit your own symptoms as long as you do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Caltrate Plus: Adult Dosage: One or two tablets daily with food or as recommended by a physician. Tablet may be broken in half for convenience. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications.
