If the pain in is getting worse on walking then, it could be due to claudification. Claudification happens due to insufficient blood supply to the muscles, which can be caused due to spasm of the arteries or atherosclerosis of arteries.

How are you? In a painful swollen calf the first diagnosis to consider is deep vein thrombosis (DVT), but there are other possibilities like muscle sprain, inflammation, claudification, thrombophlebitis, restless leg syndrome etc. Sometimes even dehydration can cause pain in the calf muscles.
