retina "wrinkle"?

my vision in my right eye has decreased and this week my opthamologist says i have a "wrinkle" in my retina..and i am seeing a retina specialist this week.. i am just curious and would like to know if this happens often and i am eager to know what possible treatment there may be for it...  any information would be appreciated.

It is fairly common.  Treatment depends on severity.  Sometime prednisone and NSAID can help as well as Avastin.   If these fail, surgery can removed the wrinkle--epiretinal membrane.

I had glaucoma surgery (trab) and had some lower pressures. My central vision started to be challenged and it appears I have a retinal wrinkle. Would these same recommendations above apply?
