Acanthameoba keratitis
Yesterday, my friends and I were playing and we filled a barrel of water from the well and we were putting our heads in it, and when I put my head in, I opened my eyes for 15 seconds. Is it possible to get acanthameoba keratitis ? I'm not contact user thank you

Thank you my eyes are not red, but I feel a little itchy and I am really afraid. Is it possible that AK is detected early or should I wait a few days to see a doctor?
A canthamoeba causes red, painful, swollen eyes. While there is no way to quantitate this the likelihood of an infection of any kind is extremely small, less than 1%. Unless you develop symptoms move on with your life.
