Amblyopia....

Are there any tests that can able to know amblyopia in the eyes.MY son is 5 and half year old with infantile easotropia(accomoditive convergent squint).He has gone through dialted fundus  test and some eye specialists say child is amblyopic in both eyes and some says he doesnt have ambloypia.

So  apart from dialted fudus test , is there any other test to know amblyopic.

Of course, it's determined with visual acuity (reading the E chart) without and with glasses if he needs them.  At 5 and 1/2 some children cooperate well and some don't. Most children with congential esotrophia do not develop amblopia which is more common in the later on accommodative esotropia.
