How close am I to losing my drivers liscense?

I am a 32 year old woman. With suspected Idiopathic pseudotumor cerebri but no one will diagnose. opening pressure is a little high and optic nerve "appears" pale and swollen.  Everyone keeps passing me around and I have had every test known to man, soooo I quit going to my optho-neurologist at Emory University in Atlanta ,Ga ( 4 hours from where I live.)  My contact prescription of -03.50 Right eye and -05.00 left eye. My ophthalmologist said that my sight could not be corrected to 20/20 I think that he said it was more like 20/50. He told me that my left eye would not pass the exam given by the Department of moter Vehicles but my right was sufficient for now... Every year my prescription gets stronger, ex. last year my left eye was -04.75 and the year before that it was -04.50. How close am I to losing my drivers liscense???

Good news, Tamara777.  According to info posted online, Georgia requires 20/60 corrected vision in one eye to pass the vision test, so you'd pass easily.

Requirements differ by state.  Here in Illinois you need 20/40 corrected vision in one eye, so you'd pass the vision test.  Some states are more lenient--requirements for Georgia are probably posted online (or call the DMV).

No one can tell.  You changes are better if you can control your pseudotumor.
