Asymmetric drusen in 34 year old

Hello, I went in for an unrelated issue and was incidentally found to have drusen in my right eye. I am 34 year old and have 20/20 vision. The drusen is mostly around the optic nerve and a tiny bit near the fovea. The doc says there is some barely noticeable drusen in the left eye too. Both parents have average vision. Any ideas on what this could be? What testing should I get done?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately the term "drusen" is used for a variety of conditions that are unrelated: thus there is optic nerve drusen, soft macular drusen, hard macular drusen, and midperipheral drusen.   What type do you have?  The worse problem is soft macular drusen which may lead to macular degeneration.  Hard macular drusen and midperipheral drusen rarely cause any problem. Optic nerve drusen usually doesn't create a problem and there is no treatment for it.
