corneal wrinkles or crevices

I just got back from the eye doctor and he told me I had either corneal wrinkles or crevices. I needed to see the Retinal Dr. to make sure there wasn't pressure or a tumor causing this. He also said it was seen in people with farsightedness which I am. Can you explain this please?

I, too, have been diagnosed with a corneal wrinkle.  The opthalmologist wants me schedule a scraping..I have been using "tear" drops and a cortisone for three weeks.  Is there any other solution.  I have heard from a friend that it is very painful.  Her operation was five years ago.  I'm 85..Thank you

He said I needed to see the retinal Dr. to make sure there was not pressure or a tumor behind the eye squeezing the eye and they would do a CT scan.

Your comments are not consistent.  Why did he want you to see a retinal doctor rather than a corneal specialist.  I suggest you call him.
