Blurry vision (one eye only)

My left eye is so blurry I can't see out of it.  Using both eyes, I can see o.k., but if something happened to my right eye, I'd bee in big trouble.  It only happens for 4-5 days out of a month (been going on for several months).  I finally was able to get in to see the eye doctor when it was occurring and he said it was "atmospheric" and gave me some antiinflammatory drops.  The drops are to be used one drop 4 times daily.  They don't seem to help.  Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks!  I did not misunderstand the doctor who told me it was "atmospheric".  He explained that there was just so much junk in the air these days that it just "happens".  I was leary, but thought he might be right.  After hearing from you, I made an appointment with an opthalmologist and they worked me in today.  He said it is called "aftercataract" and I am going to see the doctor who did my cataract surgery and he said he would do a "yag or yac laser" and it would restore my vision to normal!!!  Sooo glad I asked!!!  Thanks again.

That is not a diagnosis and your must have misunderstood. Your symptoms require a thorough work up and are concerning.

I would go to see a Eye MD ophthalmologist. If you live in the USA find one at www.aao.org

If you live outside the USA ask your personal MD for a referral. Try and get in ASAP.
