Can double vision be caused by stye which developed in my eye?

In the problem eye, I see double vision close up now immediately following stye going away within 24 hours. Whereas my closeup vision was good in that eye previously. Since it has only been a few days, should I wait and see if vision will return to normal or go have the possible chalazion removed? Basically, is leaving it be to see what happens going to further damage the eye? Thanks.

It is possible for a large chalazion to push on the cornea and cause astimatism. It generally goes away if the stye shrinks away or is surgically removed.
