Can past serotonin syndrome cause visual disturbances?

by Jason216, Feb 09, 2010 08:14PM
I had serotonin syndrome a couple of years ago, due to a reaction with effexor and klonopin. I was hospitalized and released, felt confused for several weeks before feeling ' normal.' Recently I have noticed visual disturbances, many purple, white flashing spots occurring throughout the day, some small, some quite large, gone in seconds, sometimes much longer. visual snow, and  afterimages. Some time has passed since I was last on the effexor. I have been to eye hospitals, opthamologists, retinal specialists and neurologists. I have not been diagnosed with anything, they don't know what it is.

Can this be an after-effect of the serotonin syndrome?
