Cataract surgery post Vitrectomy

Is there any way for the Retina or Cataract Specialists to determine whether or not a Vitrectomy/ERM peel surgery caused damaged Zonules or Lens Capsular Bag tears/weakness PRIOR to the necessary Cataract surgery that is now following theVitrectomy ?

No.  You can not tell until surgery and even then you can not be sure.

Thank you Dr. O....guess I need to make sure the Cataract surgeon is prepared to handle a capsular rupture ?  Just in case.
My cataract formed within 2-3 months post Vitrectomy, so am wondering if that is a "clue" that there might be some damage to the capsular bag?
