New glasses prescription; hard time focusing

I started wearing glasses 2 years ago. I've had the same prescription up until now, but this past year I've noticed my myopia or astigmatism has worsened. I was told on both optometrist visits that I have a very bad astigmatism.

I've been wearing my stronger prescription today and can see everything ALOT clearer, but I've noticed that my eyes have a harder time focusing on closer objects. Looking at my computer screen now, my eyes go out of focus occasionally for a second. When I look at a far away object or scenery and then look at something/someone who is close to me, my eyes take a second to focus. Is this normal with a new, stronger prescription? Thanks for the help.

I got my eye exam for this new prescription in another state at another Lenscrafters, does it matter what Lenscrafters I go to or do I have to go back to the same one I got my eye exam from?

If you are in late 30's or early 40's you may need bifocals. Or if younger you glasses may be "over minused".

Return to the optom for a glasses recheck. Ask about charges, most often this is a non-charge exam.
