Chorioretinits

Hello Doctor,

This is sumathi from India. My brother is having eye problem. He is 20years old.  We consult doctors. They said my brother is having "Headed chorioretinitis in left eye" and  starting Anti-toxoplasmosis. Now one scar is found over macula in his eye. Doctors said it is not curable. He is often having common cold.

Please suggest us what we have to do to cure this.

We are not from the medical back ground. So only...

Medical world is developed very much.... You peoples are inventing and invented medicines for many uncurable diseases. why there is no medicine for this eye problem???

If you read my link to another website it has an extended discussion of the problem. It is often NOT curable it OFTEN leaves permanent damage to the eye.

Consider gettting a second opinion. If his present ophthalmologists are not hopeful the outlook is NOT GOOD.

It is a serious disease and after it scars the back of the eye the vision often cannot be restored. It is not related to having common colds.
