Question about retinal blastoma

My Nephew recently complained of difficulty seeing and failed his school (1st grade) eye exam and recently got glasses. He was here the other night and had a photo taken which revealed a white left pupil  I've attached the photo for your review.

I am so, so pleased as the last three children with white pupil reflex had retinoblastomas.  You are a goood aunt.

Just want to let you know he got the "all-clear", he had a dilated exam yesterday and the opthamologist said he saw nothing but healthy retinas. Thank you for your guidance and the oppotunity to consult you on this, if anything my family has learned a great deal about "Retinal Blastoma" and that awarness will be shared with all my friends who have babies and small children given the number of cases that are diagnosed through a simple photo.

Thanks again,

M. Thompson

Yes he does need to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist as soon as possible. If he saw an optoemtrist that doesn't count for this type of problem. Needs MD plus dilation
