Coloured Blobs in my vision

Hi!  For the past 6 months I have had a weird blue/white blob that appears in the centre of my vision and can sometimes change colour to yellow or even a faint  red/black blob.  It comes and goes everyday and I remember when I firts got this blob I had the flue and its lasted ever since.  I got my eyes tested and they couldn't explain it therefore, I went to the doctor and they are confused and said it could be due to a viral infection but they are sending me to a neurologist anyway.  I am so scared now as I am worried it could be signs of a tumor.  I do not have a headache with it.  Can anyone give me any answers to this?
Thanks Charlene

This sound like some type of macular problem.  They can occur after a viral infection.  You should get a referral to a retinal specialist.

Well, i feel like you and it began when I was 7 or 8 years old, I'm now 17 years old. I informed every eye doctor about it, and they all gave me some eye drop and told me I could have an infection, but I haven't seen anything new though. I searched online since I thought it would injure me, but I found nothing, so I'm wondering if you can get rid of it. If you find anything new, please let me know. Lastly, if you have any information or skills, kindly assist us.

Thanks I will look into seeing a retinal specialist.  I started getting this weird blob a few weeks before I had the flu so   do think its related?  Would a normal eye test not pick this up if it is a macular problem?
Thanks Charlene
