Watery eyes not diagnosed by eye doctor.

Eye problems not diagnosed by opthalmologist
Posted 5 days ago

My eyes have been watery for a few weeks, so I went to an eye doctor and he said he sees nothing wrong with them. The problem thou still has not gone away. I think I may be to either the sides of my eyes which are drooping a little or due to my eyes not draining properly which is what it feels more like. So what are the symptoms for such a thing? And should I see another eye doctor?

Thank you.

Lots of different types call themselves "eye doctor" only an Eye MD ophthalmologist is a medical physician. So next visit see an Eye MD.  a regular MD and a non-physician optometrist may not fill the bill

I did see an ophthalmologist.
If your symptoms are no better and bothersome seeing either the same ophthalmologist for more in depth tests or getting a second opinion from a different one would make sense
I have seen a second one and they proscribed stronger eye drops which did not solve the problem.
What eye drops have been prescribed and what have you been told was the cause?
Was told that eyes were dry and prescribed and stronger version of eye drops and the one I had tried before. Neither have helped significantly.
Use the search feature and archives and read the many posts about "dry eyes" there is no easy fix or treatment that works for everyone. When you go to the drug store and there are lots of artificial tears the reason is 1. Its a very common problem 2. no single drop works for everyone.   Moreover some people need tear duct plugs, omega 3, restasis/xiidra etc. You will need to follow up with the eye MD you have the most confidence in.
Is a blocked tear duct something that an Ophthalmologist would usually check for?
If you mention watery eyes, especially just one side and if the tears actually run down the face. More common after nose or facial trauma or surgery.
