Eye Care

I have been experiencing eye floaters since past 10 years and i am currently 30 years of age. I recall that when i was a kid i used to see small bubbles whenever i look at the clear blue sky. All those years had been trouble free and i don't have such a big problem with floaters being coming in the field of vision, however since past 2,3 months i have noticed  increment in  number of floaters and lately i used to see liquid like thing moving from here and there in the field of my vision whenever i see sky and light colored background apart from floaters. Also, since i have to be in front of the computer for almost 8 hrs every day i have a sense of "blurry vision" or shaky vision. I dont know whether the squeezing viscous like substance is a fluid or its a flashes of light , the liquid move almost every time i see clear sky. i know for sure that those are not floaters because floaters are my companion since so many years. I went to a Retinologist , who examined my eye and  told me that there is nothing to worry as my retina has not been harmed. However, i have been seeing those squeezing thins regularly and have started bothering me a lot. PLease suggest , and please let me know will these symptoms lea to permanent blindness or have cure.

I just had the vitreous replaced in my right eye that was FULL of BIG floaters.  Now I have a saline solution in the eye and the floaters are ALL gone.

You fail to post collieman that you had ERM and a vitrectomy done for that.  You do a disservice to imply or suggest to readers that you have a floaters only vitrectomy in an otherwise normal eye.

Hello armanitim   Floaters like people come in all sizes and shapes, you may also see condensations of vitreous, pieces of protein or the ligament that formerly attached the vitreous to the optic nerve (Weiss ring).

With a nomral examination by a retinal specializing ophthlmologist it is highly unlikely that the visual phenomenum you are observing would lead to bad vision or blindness.
