Cotton Wool Patch

DSC
Just had an angiography of the eyes with contrast as a followup to the vitreous separation and a cotton wool patch was discovered on the left eye.  Health is good - low blood pressure, no diabetes, low cholesterol, etc.  Doc assured me it will go away but was concerned with what may have caused it.  I am on HRT and he said this could be the culprit.  Ae there any symptoms with these patches?  That eye is feeling just a bit off.

An angiogram is not a usual f/u for a posterior vitreous detachment.  This is usually due to loss of blood flow to the retinal(stroke).  Usually seen with diabetes and hypertension.

Don't know why doc ordered it as a f/u - maybe just to check the blood flow.  However, the cotton wool patch  turned out to be a secondary finding.  I don't have any risk factors for this other than the HRT.  Will this resolve and will there be any lasting effects?
