I had a torn retina in December which was successfully repaired with laser surgery. At my 1-week checkup, all was well, but on way home I noted a 'sparkler' effect in the lower left portion of my eye that had never been there before. It reminds me of a 4th of July sparkler or occasionally rippling water. They had done a lot of probing and poking on that eye, so I assumed it was from that and would go away, but it never has. It's pretty much there all the time, occasionally not there when I first wake up in the morning, but before long it's back and stays there all day. I went for my 1-month checkup recently and asked the eye doctor about it but she had no clue what could be causing it. Has anyone else had this following retinal tear repair?
