Eye/Ear Problems

Over 2 years ago i was diagnosed with viral inner ear infection, not going into huge details - but had balance problems, ear problems, numbness on face - had full mri on brain and ears - all normal - eventually ear problems subsided - In Jan this year was diagnosied with euveitis (would choose ear problem over eye problem) took six weeks of treatment but got the all clear.  Lately my right eye feels heavy, also get the lid twitches and i constantly feel like i need to screw that eye tight shut - Docs gave me all clear - but i am not 100% certain my eye problems and ear problems are not connected.  Viral as we all know antibiotics do not clear - the body has to cope and repair by itself.  I am generally a very healthy person, do not get sick with colds or flu etc, so why i get these weird virus's all of a sudden is beyond me.  Docs seem to think none of the above is connected. Any opinions????  Had eyes tested recently no sign of euveitis, but need to wear glasses for reading and computer, but for my age (46) eyes are not too bad.

There are some symdromes in which eye and ear problems occur but they are rare. You should discuss your concerns with the ophthalmologist that managed your uveitis. Also you can use the search feature and archives to read about uveitis. Also the section on www.emedicine.com is excellent
