Has high myopia is been reduced

Are there any evidences that myopia may get reduced as you grow.
Will it be expected in case of acquired myopia, due to insufficient lighting or lot of near work.
My kid (3 years old) has been disgnosed with Myopia (-9D in both eyes), but we both parents even don't have spectacles.
We feel this might be an acquired myopia due to lot of indoor activities/ using computer in insufficient light.
Will it be possible that it may get fixed (may be slowley) if we encourage lot of outdoor activities and no use of computer.
Any expert advise or similar experiences please?

The issue of progression of myopia due to near tasks such as reading, crafts and computers has been looked at an not found to be a cause.

In the past restricting near tasks, bifocals and atropinization have been tried and found not to be consistentlyhelpful.

Many cases of high myopia are sporatic and the result of bad luck.

No way to predict "the final number".

John, many thanks for your comments.

Any views on 'acquired myopia' as we both parents do not have even spectacles and also my kid was borned full time (after 37 weeks) normal delivery? Will it be possible that myopia (-9D both eyes) can be acquired due to using computer in insufficient light at the age of 3.

In average /general scenario, is their any prediction till how big number can grow?

You Cannot stop myopia from progressing and should not restrict reading or computer use.  Myopia does not get better as child grows as it is caused by long eye and eye not get shorter. Farsightedness (short eye) often does get better as child grows.
