Discolored vessel in eye cavity

I have a large dark bluish/greyish vein in my eye socket going from the corner of the cavity all the way to my eye.  My eye has been in pain for the past few days and I thought it was due to strain from looking at the computer monitor.   Would not be the first time that has happened as I spend a lot of my time looking at computer monitors.  I will post a picture and I hope it will be of good enough quality to help determine what is going on.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you.

To clarify the pain is not only in my eye but also above it going all the way up to my brow.

The picture is out of focus and a positive diagnosis cannot be made HOWEVER this is an absolute need to see an eye MD ophthalmologist to begin a work up and make a diagnosis. Ask your family MD to refer you or go to www.geteyesmart.org
