Double vision after cataract removal in one eye

Hi

I had a cataract operation on my left eye and the cataract was removed. I've now got new glasses and am now suffering from double vision.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how it could be corrected?

I believe one eye is now short sighted and one eye is long sighted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

This type of problem is not unusual. You may need "slab off" in the glasses, contact lens, taking the RX out of one lens or a cataract operation on the other eye.

See your surgeon.

I suggest that you call your surgeon's office, describe your problem, and try to get seen as soon as you can.  Possibly, having one eye nearsighted and the other farsighted is what's causing your double vision.  If this were the case, wearing a contact lens might eliminate your problem.
