EYE PROBLEMS FOLLOWING A STROKE

Following a stroke my husband is unable to open his eyelids, he has also developed a squint in one eye.

Please can you give us some idea of the treatment he will be offered.

Would it be possible to correct the quint and lift the lids by surgery.

How long do you think he will  have to wait (for possible natural improvement) before threatment is offered.
any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks for your reply.
Six months does seem a long time to wait.  It is like putting your life on hold.
We have an appointment with the neurologist on Thursday of this week so I am hoping he will give us some indication of what treatment my husband can have and when.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
He should see an Eye MD in the very near future. Find one at www.aao.org   He needs a visual field test when you schedule the appointment.  Often waits of up to 6 months are indicated after strokes hoping for recovery.
