Early PCO

Hello, I've developed PCO in both eyes within weeks of cataract surgery.  I understand YAG laser is the only treament for this condition, but I would like to explore options which might provide the safest YAG available.  Is there a particular specialty or location where practitioners are well trained in this regard?  Alternatively, is there a reason I should return to my cataract surgeon for this procedure?  Thank you.

Yag capsulotomy is among the easiest, quickest, safest procedures an opthalmologist EyeMD performs.   Your surgeon would be great unless there is considerable distance or inablity to get in. I would recommend you not have it done by an optometris od non-physician. Although allowed to do Yag cap in some states, in my opinion it exceeds the scope and expertise of their practive.

I needed to have a YAG procedure about 3 1/2 years after cataract surgery and it was performed by my original surgeon.
Approximately 9% of cataract/IOL surgeries will eventually need Yag Cap
BTW, how ‘bout them Chiefs
