Blurry Vision with Gas Bubble following RD

Following RD surgery with a gas bubble, my vision appears as Though I am looking through a semi transparent piece of glass. I can see colors and some detail and my peripheral perception is expanding.  I can see improved detail through my field of vision which has increased from 1 inch from my nose to about 6".    I want to be encouraged but I don't know what to expect as the bubble dissipates. The view above the edge of the bubble is more clear than within the bubble but of course the detail on the periphery is not as good. Do these experiences sound normal or not?  What can I expect?

This has been discussed in great detail both by me but more importantly by people who have gone through this type of surgery. You can access these discussions using the search feature in the upper right hand part of the screen.
