Episcleritis and Scleritis

Dec 22 2008 my right eye was sore and vieny.Specialist from London Ivy eye Clinic as been treating right eye.Started with drops that did nothing to get rid of the pain or red.The pill form prednisone that I have been weened off and then full prednisone again. Then steroid injection that had to be removed after 2 weeks because of the high eye pressure 36 that should be under 20.Now weening off the prednisone again but eye is red again.I am using Combigan drops to lower the eye pessure and Genteal drops to keep the eye wet.
Is there any other options to clean the scleritis?
Is Scleritis allergy related?
It has been an issue for 4 years but scleritis is since Dec 2008.

Episceritis and scleritis has settled down.It has been 3 weeks with clear eye.I am still using predisone drops and glacoma drops for the eye pressure.I know scleritis does not disappear but it is nice when my eyes are clear and no pain.Thank you for your help.nin77ca

Thank you for the suggestion of a Eye MD,PHd,frcsc.Dr William HODGE is my eye doctor from The St Joseph Ivey eye Clinic, UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN ONTARIO in London Ontario.
I will ask about immunosuppression theropy by mouth.Right now I am on prednisone for about 3 months. They have done tests ffor autoimmune  disease, but no Lupus. When
I was 12 years old I had Rhumatic fever that is it.They do not think it is related.
Apo-amoxi is a medicine I keep at home for dental work.
What is Immunosuppression theropy by mouth?

I suggest you be referred to a rheumatologist to look for underlying systemic disease that might cause this (examples  rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, autoimmune diseases).

Also try for a referral to an Eye MD that specialiszes in either uveitis  or external disease.

You may need immunosuppression therapy by mouth.
