Eye flashes.. and other symptoms

Hi, for the past two days I've been having white flashes in front of both eyes. There are no floaters and I don't have a migraine/ headache or nausea. However, i have had a sharp pain at the base of the back of my head just up from the neck and when i walk it appears to be making a clicking noise. It also feels very tight almost like my skin is too small for my head although there is no pain. I have not had any trauma or injury recently but have felt rather weak/tired and occasionally a bit dizzy. The white flashes look/seem like someone is shining a bright lighting strike past me.

Yes, that symptoms is extremely common. Use the archives to read about TIA and Eye Migraine. It can represent serious disease of the eye, brain, heart and blood vessels. It can be a TIA  it can also be an eye or ophthalmic migraine which doesn't usually have headaches.

I had something odd happen- I was running around making dinner, rather stressed & I sat down & noticed a shiny silvery streak arcing across the top of my right eye & a little in the left eye. Like when you look into a bright light & then look away. It lasted for about 10 or so minutes- gradually fading. No other discomfort, just nervous. Any idea what that was?
