Eye infection

I am a 21 years old male living in the phillipines. I have some questions regarding about my condition.

I was diagnose with an Eye infection from bug bites which cause redness and i was also diagnosed with dry eye in December 21, 2021.Ive been given prescription from my eye doctor which consist artificial tear, antibiotics and inflamatory eye drops.

Now its january 22 and i see progress but in my knowledge eye infection can last atleast 3 weeks and i can still see redness in my eyes but i dont know if its due to my running nose and cold.

Is it possible for an eye infection to last a month ?
I just want a opinion on my current condition and i would really appreciate if you would help me get some answers. Thank you and godbless

Yes, it is possible for an eye infection to last 3-4 weeks or even longer.  It is called chronic conjunctivitis. On the other hand a dry eye can cause the eye to remain red and irritable. It is not possible to provide any other useful information as an examination of the eye itself is needed. You will need to discuss this with your eye doctor, hopefully who is an Eye MD ophthalmologist.
