Eye pain with movement

I'm a 35 yr old female.  Woke up 7 days ago with right eye pain, like muscle pain, when I would look around.  3 days later went to eye doc and she said everything she was able to see looked normal, but said eye pain would only be caused by diabetes, which I don't have, thyroid, or MS.  Said I should get thyroid checked (my TSH was 3.19 a few months ago) and get an appt right away with neuro or neuro opth.  The pain has now subsided in right eye but has moved to the left eye.  Still haven't had it checked out by a neuro.  What could be causing this and should I be seen immediately?  Thanks.

No, that doesn't happen in the eye.

Could it be something simple like a pulled muscle, is that possible?

Yes, bilateral optic neuritis is quite unusual. I would treat this as an emergency and see an ophthalmologist immediately (if you saw one originally return to them if it was an optometrist then have your family MD refer you today or go to www.aao.org and find an Eye MD near you and call immediately. Be sure to stress its both eyes now that have the problem.

Sorry I miswrote, the doc said it would be thyroid or Optic Neuritis, which could be MS.
