Eye problems.

I really do not know where to put this under, but I was wondering, if anyone out there knows what I've got, I would be a happy girl :) I was born with ROP (retinopathy of prematurity) and I have also got High Myopia and I can not see at night, I can not remember what else I have, my mom might know though, anyways, within the past few months, I've been freaking out because I've been seeing: Flashes, Floaters, some wavey type things, and now I am starting to see a speck when ever I watch T.V, i see this stupid speck that keeps flying around my vision. What I really want to know is, Does anyone know why I am seeing Red outside? and inside?
Example: If I go outside, and am near the sun (or even away from the sun) Some shade type things are red, if I am directly in the sun, everything turns red, if I am indoors, all the dark shades turn red (like say a black keyboard turns red instead) It's really irritating and my eye doctor is not giving me answers!! is there a cure! I don't want to keep living the way I am if I am just going to panic about seeing white flashes that sometimes block my vision or seeing specks! :( can someone answer my questions please I'd be greatful.

If you want to find a retinal specialist and live in the U.S.,  doctors on this forum have suggested using www.aao.org.  I've used the following steps successfully:
Google:  www.aao.org
Click on top heading (rather than subheadings) of  American Academy of Ophthalmology
At right side of window, halfway down, is “Find and Eye MD”
Click on the Zip code tab (2nd tab) to open it.
Enter your zip code; enter 25 mile radius, and leave out subspecialty.  Hit “Search”
Extensive list of doctors should come up
For retina problems look for the word “Retina” in a doctor’s area of “Specialty”.  (For cataract surgery you would look for “Refractive”)
Click on a doctor’s name to get his location and phone number.  You will also see where he was educated and where he did his internship.
Good luck.

Would loosing vision be also a sign? I used to be available to see the second line like last year, then this year was the 1st letter and within the past 3-5 months, I could see nothing.

What would you say seeing red is though? It's in both eyes, has been since the start of this whole mess. It's really confusing, I also get sore eyes and they water, sometimes non stop for several days.

The low pressure of 8 compared to 21 can also be a sign of a retinal detachment.  See a retinal specialist.

Hello Dr O, Thanks for replying.

I have been to the ophthalmologist, and they say there's nothing is wrong, I forgot to add that my eye pressure was 8 in left and 21 in right, that's bad right? This year I have seen the eye doctor for about 5 times this year, and I have been extremely worried that something might go wrong.

My eye doctor (and the ophthalmologist) keep saying I'm fine and there's nothing to worry about, even yesterday, the eye doctor said that "He" has what "I" Have but I think that was to cheer me up, but it's just made me feel worse from hearing it, I told my friend what he said, and my friend said it was plain rude for him to even say that in front of me because it was probably a lie.

The only way now, I can think how to try and avoid most floaters, flashes and specks is by putting Sun Glasses on (Not sure if it will do the trick). Its gotten to that stage, that i can not shield the red that has came to me within the past 3-5 months because when I go out side, wearing shades (or not even having them on) I struggle to see outside when I am in the sun, even sometimes inside the house, I find it hard to see because of the redness I am seeing, Do you know what seeing red means at all?

Must I add  this year, i have been to two different ophthalmologist, two different doctors (in the same place) they were meant to be "Professionals" but honestly, I don't call them professionals, if they can not do anything, or they can't see anything wrong!

At this stage in my eyes I can not see the eye chart, only hand movement, I used to see the 1st two lines (Early this year) now I just struggle to just see size 40. I struggle in TAFE due to loosing so much eye sight, and every day now, its hard to just even look at the computer screen because my eyes hurt, and they water all the time.

Sorry if I repeated myself.

The flashes and floaters are a serious sign of potential problems especially in a high myope.  Please see an ophthalmologist or retinal specialist ASAP.
